Among the activities of the Monterrey International Film Festival, they presented the screening of short films in Pantalla Abierta, a space created to develop the passion for film in children and youth.

This edition presented 18 movies, of which 10 were made in the Cultural Spheres of CONARTE in Galeana, García and El Carmen, Nuevo León, as well as Niños CONARTE. Also, the production of these short films included Cinema Ejemplar, K 13:20 A.C. y Enseña por México.

Presented before a crowded room 9 of Cinépolis Garza Sada, the Executive Director of MIFF, Janeth Aguirre highlighted that the characters portrayed in the various short films represent characters from our everyday nature.

The topics showed by the little filmmakers were bullying, violence, professional development, relationship with pets, among others.

Alejandro Rodríguez, Director of Development and Cultural Heritage of CONARTE, attended the presentation and invited the attendees to recognize the formative work developed by the children and adolescents in the different workshops, which can make them the future great filmmakers of the country.

The titles were: Bff Animals, El último suspiro, Fireworks, Gatopia, Pa’ser alguien en la vida, The camp, Todo puede cambiar, Ayer y hoy en Fundidora, Detrás de la gran pantalla, El amor en Fundidora, En la huerta se come mejor…, Fuego, Las mujeres y sus locuras, Mi camino, Monstruo de basura, No contamines con el bullying, Púrpura y Vacaciones en Galeana.
