One of the biggest challenges of Mexican Film is the distribution, and it was the topic in a panel of the Monterrey International Film Festival.

Leslie Borsani, director and founder of Cine la Mina, Virginia Rico, historian and cultural manager, and Regina Serratos, programmer and film distributor attended the sixth and final panel “Women’s perspectives in distribution and exhibition”.

The four promoters have contributed from their position to space to the diversity of visions and dialogues about the film produced in the country.

The conversation was about the responsibility of selecting the material that the audience will see, and the commitment to share productions that show Mexico’s cultural richness.

“There is a lot of social responsibility, for example in Cine la Mina we like that the programming is diverse, sometimes we have had to put quality commercial titles that help us to form public and then also helps us to make billboards and set prices”.
